Kidero should continue with this purge.

I agree that its foolhardy to ban scrap metal dealership in toto.

But lets look at what he has on his plate. 1 million scrap metal dealers who were probably illegally licensed by the former kajoras who support the thriving metal stealing industry. Trying to enforce any law on these guys will be like Hon. Mandi laughing at a joke from SRC.

So ban them. All of them.

Then reissue genuine licenses to the ones who pass the sniff test.

not at all people understood the statement wrongly and as it has been said Mr.Governor isnt good at expressing himself...words arent his thing@Alma got it right let a few genuinely licensed firms deal with the selling if this product this will curb the vandalism that is costing the country millions of shillings...you are a jua kali.artisan who wants to make an aluminium sufuria walk into an authorised dealer and get your stuff...the sad thing is prices are likely to shoot up....expect to pay double for the sufurias gn forward...

Now this is retrogressive thinking at it's best, instead of injecting your input you resort to the tribal way of looking at things, I have supported Kidero before but when he does things just to be popular without giving much thought to them I will question and as a resident of Nairobi, that is my right, just give your view on the same....you don't have to drag Raila's name to it, NKT!!!!

I do support his efforts. It's hard to enforce a law on an already illegal business(traders doing business illegally). If he cleans it up and only selected dealers are licensed, it will be possible to monitor them and curb vandalism. On the prices, he could enter into an agreement/arrangement with those licensed to ensure they maintain a fair price for jua kali sector to avoid killing it.... and i believe they would as they want to remain in business too. Way to go good governor.
