C'mon people most of you didn't know Kethi before the Supreme Court petition and if she hadn't been one of the advocates in the case you would probably be supporting Nduku for the seat. Neither Nduku nor Kethi is really interested in being Makueni senator, as someone has said they are just being pushed by politicians.

It's good you have used the word 'most of you'.........coz some of us clearly remember the goldenberg hearings!!!

Mark you.....at the Supreme court there were more than 20 lawyers, something has to be special about Kethi!!!!!

Probably because she was the youngest Counsel then and only lady but anyway i have nothing against Kethi or her qualifications as an advocate just trying to understand why you think she would make a good politician.....i think politics might kill her career kama baba yake.

As far as I can remember all she had was good English!

more like clear english with no complicated words with exception of 'vitiate'. her legal arguments were however faulty... for example her not begging but demanding that the court 'vitiates the whole of Nyeri county's results?' - REALLY?

Men who just can't beleive that a lady is better.....Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

@Mc, I have alot of respect for ladies, but honestly she only came to the limelight since she was the daughter of a prominent person and her English was Superb - her arguments lacked content (Ask any seasoned lawyer)

PRECISELY. I thought I was alone. Excellent English n prose, and she managed to put her fallacies in such a nicely packaged oratory, deceiving the masses massively. But I support her bid.

...That is what law is all about...clothe the truth with flowery language...That is how a lawyer convinces a judge that a policeman who is caught on camera shooting an innocent person she be declared innocent because the gun that he used to hoot that person is not the one that was brought as evidence!!!
...One of President's lawyers at the Hague ain't any better...all verbosity and little of substance their in...
...Did you want her to stammer through out the proceeding to emerge a good lawyer?

Did I say she is a bad lawyer? ? I said she lied big time, like the good lawyer she is.

Both Kethi and Nduku might not make it. The contents of that Mutula autopsy report and the rumours around his death might be very embarrassing and paint them both in bad light. Viagra, CM, 16yr old, etc.
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

How Mutula died has nothing to do with Kethi, paint her in bad light? Get out of your village thinking.

In my opinion,I think Kethi received positive media coverage, not because of prowess, but because she is "young" and daughter of a former influential lawyer ....what exactly did she say at the petition that sets her apart from the rest, other than working hard to give a dead case a pulse?
Which good English is this that people talk about? I listened to her,i saw nor heard anything extra ordinary ,and I have nothing against Kethi.
About her run for office, whether it is pressure or not,she is better of not yielding to it.Media will not be there to quote every staccato she leaves on the floor of the senate, she can build her name by handling a real case(s) and winning and then applying to all those dynamic and amazing roles in the judiciary, something that has nothing to do with anything wiper or loose canon or water melon.....jeez,how is she even dealing with the idea of that?

And finally about that tweet,we all have freedom of expression, but was it necessary? Now i am reading some crazy stuff, people making fun about curses and witchcraft Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
I am happy

48 Laws of Power. Law No. 5: So Much Depends on Reputation – Guard it with your Life.

In the context of Kethi Vs Nduku, Kethi steps down to avoid competition with her step mother, vernacular stations convey this message, and the masses love it! Bonus to Kethi's reputation.

In the meantime, Nduku's reputation is poked, and pubic opinion "hangs" her.

Clearly, this was a SMART move! It endears Kethi to the people of Makueni, and paints Nduku in bad light.

ION, you don't have to like someone to give them credit. Kethi is a brilliant lawyer. Take that JUBILEE sycophants.

Your opinion unfortunately don't matter. Again opportunity to an MP or a Senator do not come everyday and to anyone, I wouldn't let it slip away if I was her.

IMO, that tweet has painted Kethi as immature politically, as in she is not ready for politics. If she thinks political competition is "enemity" she is naive. If she thinks Kilonzo Senior was an enemy to Uhuru, Ruto, or any other Jubilee politician, she is naive...Politics is for the very hardy, and I dare say "heartless". When u see an opportunity, those things she is calling "curses" cant stop you. Let her just say she was not ready...

@ synovateguyLaughing out loudly and @rollout,peweni KooAid,mine is just an opinion,i did not say it needs to go down the annals of history. All i am saying is that ( and it is my opinion) there is way too much hype. But i get it that you Cordeshians see this as a way of redeeming yourselves, well,go for it,but there is s huge difference between emotion and prime time.

Honestly,i do not care who takes it in Makueni,i do not vote there and Jubilee coalition has the numbers in senate
I am happy

I see! You must be the new political analyst in town.

With this kind of advise, I foresee a Jubilee win. Can I get an Amen?
