Just read the below in business daily

Dr Matiang’i also directed permanent secretary Bitange Ndemo and Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) director-general Francis Wangusi to form a five-member committee, with members from the broadcasting industry, to address challenges raised by MOA, including the fees proposed by the two signal distributors

Their title "permanent secretaries" aside, are they here to stay? I thought cabinet secretaries were to take over from permanent secretaries?

Permanent Secretaries are being replaced by Principal Secretaries while Cabinet Secretaries replaced Cabinet Ministers. We did away with Assistant Ministers
