Chamas get successful if and only off there is commonality of purpose and all members own the vision of the chama. I am a member of one that turned out into a company and we are currently developing houses for sales. The growth has been phenomenal.
@Marty, how long did it take you to eventually turn it into a Company?
Then, did you have monthly contributions or you always funded projects as they come, by equally contributing, and then managing "risks" individually?
Any Wazuan? Would you rather pool funds during projects, or have monthly contribution which later allows you to take a Loan as a group? How do you manage this risk together? Any challenges? Or course everyone is always optimistic at the onset, then unforeseen circumstances show up.
Life is joy, death is peace, but the transition is very difficult.
