Many are times that we comment, criticize, point out or complain about ills be falling our country. Kenya turns 50 this week. Let's celebrate what has gone right.
For some of us born and bred during the Nyayo generation, I celebrate the stability this country has had and the determination by kenyans to live in peace. I celebrate the education system that game. I. ve some of us a chance to be, na siwezi sahau maziwa ya Nyayo : it was our only consistent source of milk for those of us who came from downtrodden Kenyan masses. U

On a personal level, Kenya paid for my University education at a time my parents were not able. One more reason I celebrate Kenya.

I celebrate those who in their small ways have made this country a better place to live.
Though their efforts are not/have not been recognised, you did it for the benefit of all including your tormentors.

The Kenyan defence forces have been spectacular. I appreciate their loyalty to the country.
