In Kenya, if you want to make serious money besides tenders, you target the downstream market..EABL generates 44% of it's revenue from the keg beer aka senator! Am sure none of you has ever seen this beer sold at your local pub..blue moon targets the same...that is were the money is..mass market, the kadogo economy..

...very true the amount of keg being drunk is just crazy...if you go to those keg joints and buy guys keg for 2k...they,ll start singing maka for county rep...if you do 5k...it will be maka for senator or governor...for 10k in that small universe you are their President...sadly 10k in the other hand easily ends in most of this uptown joints....

Hio kitu ni mbaya. It was after I took it that I decided never to drink alchohol again.

Now I only take Guiness, which is good food.

I agree but it's not 44%........all beers account for 80% of EABL revenues and keg can't be 55% of all beer sales......watu wanakunywa beer pia bwana!!!!

Guiness is a food group with a lot of vitamins. I have very soft hair to prove it. Everywhere.

Many here have never drank cheap liquor. Visit the supermarkets hata akina Nakumatt. The guys on the queue buying blue moon watakushangaza. The fact that it is cheap for you is because you can afford more expensive alcohol. There are guys who can't touch hata Smirnoff, minimum huwa akina Absolut or Ciroc. It's your spending power. For those who can't afford that, there's still a market for them and that's where Blue Moon comes in.

Guiness is good food.but take too much of it and youll be producing an oily substance at the rear.

44% is a conservative figure. Actual is slightly over 50%. The lower the price the higher the sales. Compare - how many people buy airtime bamba 50 or 20 compared with a card of 500 or 250?

This category of beer enjoys full remission - 100% of excise duty (meaning no taxes)

Hope this changes soonest.

We are not talking about the amount or number of cups sold but the revenue raised from the KEG beer, Tusker alone accounts for 30%....let's not just throw figure anyhow, the keg revenue aint 44% or 50% of the total revenue!!!!!

Actually the 50% is in terms of sales volumes. Noted
