very wise words, more people should visit the first world countries and the world will be a better place - I always say, if only the first world allowed the said terrorist to visit their countries they would change them instantly. The likes of Farouk Abdulmutallab or even Mohammad Sidique Khan would not have done what they did if they had visited the west.

I dream of visiting one of these countries one day.

It's the easiest visa to get. just need some confidence and no lying. They already have all info about you and whoever is on the other end. One thing though your host should be legally in US and fairly stable. They have all this information.

How now???d'oh! d'oh!

When you fill all your details online and submit.
police records,travel records,certs, etc etc
Reason the interview process sounds like a big joke.I don't remember that dude looking at my face at all,cz his attention was on screen and asking tricky questions.all 5 min.

But masukuma pray sana. You have relas on greencard and you want to visit with family?
Hope they are citizens already to make it easier.
You have to really prove that you are coming back;return ticket, investments needing your physical att.developments, job, education, family etc.
I got a feeling they will kazia you if you go with family. It would be great if you got a multiple entry visa valid for a year so there can be next time and you can try taking family along cz they will have confidence in you.
Na usiende interview na tois wamenyonga ties like small pastors.
Try anyway,wishing you luck.

@nakujua,
In alot of third world countries people are fed with propaganda on how cool they are on a daily basis. The whole Africa believe the West have or want to steal their natural resources but guess where that is coming from?

African leaders do not want Africa to truely develop because they benefit from vulnarable poor masses. The west however want Africa to develop because it will provide growth and market opportunities for their companies, but we understand these the opposite way just because of the propaganda.

I have done trips with my famo to both Asia and nicer parts of africa (I try to go with them when the situation is conducive) - do you think this will be advantageous? I may do a couple more with them before we decide to travel west.

I have some in-laws in the US who keep insisting we visit but the thought of hustling for a visa keeps me off.
I have however done Europe tour with family. Visited 4 countries in 3 weeks.

Thats the best part with Schengen you get one visa and you can visit any of the schengen states
