....eti they also to plan UMK salary by sijui 43%....like he cares!!!!

.....those earning less than 50K to be excempted from tax, this is music to the ears of many!!!!!!

And moreso to my ears.smile smile

And where do they expect their salaries en all the allowances to come from? This guys don't reason even one bit! En this tyme there greedy.

They figure that since they are earning less from the taxes we pay, we can aswell pay less than we are paying in taxes. Such is their wacky reasoning...smile smile

Parliamentary Group on Investment confirm that they will take the following measures: VAT to be reduced from 16% to 10% (the lowest in the World for VAT paying nations), President and Deputy President's salaries to be reduced by 57%, SRC and CIC to have budgets reduced by 57%, all people earning a gross pay of 50, 000 will not pay tax....

I thought the SRC sets the salary for president and deputy which means they can't change that same way they can't increase their own right?

You better believe it. They have it covered. I think it's only the president who can save us now since he has to assent to each of the bills for them to take effect

Elections Act

Part IV—reCall of member of ParlIament
45. (1) The electorate in a county or constituency may recall their
member of Parliament before the end of the term of the relevant House
of Parliament on any of the grounds specified in subsection (2).

(2) A member of Parliament may be recalled where the member—
(a) is found, after due process of the law, to have violated the
provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
(b) is found, after due process of the law, to have mismanaged
public resources;
(c) is convicted of an offence under this Act.

(3) A recall of a member of Parliament under subsection (1)
shall only be initiated upon a judgement or finding by the High Court
confirming the grounds specified in subsection (2).

(4) A recall under subsection (1) shall only be initiated twenty four months after the election of the member of Parliament and not later
than twelve months immediately preceding the next general election.

(5) A recall petition shall not be filed against a member of Parliament more than once during the term of that member in Parliament.

(6) A person who unsuccessfully contested an election under this Act shall not be eligible, directly or indirectly, to initiate a petition

the src is the only body mandated to set salaries of state officers so they have no powers to determine the president's pay

The good news is the section can be amended by a provision in the constitution (257) through 1M signatures and i think that's what Dennis itumbi is trying to do. All Wazuans should download the form on his blog and sign.

257. (1) An amendment to this Constitution may be proposed by
a popular initiative signed by at least one million registered voters.

I doubt they will get anything from Uhuru... if anything he will end up stronger from this unwinnable confrontation by the mpigs. However way it will go they will be the eventual losers!!
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.
