I cannot believe what survivors are testifying on the nakumatt odeal.....

'the manager ordered all the exit doors to be closed so as to curb routing by the employees and also to make sure that the customers in que paid what was in their shopping bags,at one point he cocked his gun to make sure his orders were effected'

my question are

' did the management chose to safeguard their property over human life?'
'why would some hold a gun at this point in life'
'are we justified to say that they somehow contributed to deaths'
':were they jusified to close the exits?'

its shocking that at lunch time today they pulled out 10 dead bodies, and neary 50 missing

It's a good tale,but sounds highly unlikely.

There is a fire burning in the building-you are a crowd of people in a limited space area. Would you calmly wait your turn at the till to pay for goods you do not yet own and can easily find them at the next Nakumatt.
While on that point, the manager would simply tell the customers in the shop, leave your stuff and run for your lives.

While it looks obvious and proper to,it is is usually not a good idea to try salvage stuff from a burning building especially if it is insured. Why? the insurance company may claim you salvaged most of the stuff hence they pay you what they think you lost. Usually, that's why you are told, forget the stuff, leave the building. Its insured. But even then, some stuff was removed. It was on television.
That he packed a gun. Now surely,as far as your tale goes, this goes into the realm of Hollywood. Mr. Ben!! Do you really want us to keep calling you Mr.?

odeal = ordeal? routing = looting? que = queue? paid what = paid for what? some hold a gun = ???? shear = sheer? allogance = arrogance? neary = nearly What was possibly a good story has been lost in the presentation. Assuming I make the corrections above, what is your source as you were definitely not there (otherwise you would be the 51st person)

at this juncture i would not trust anyone. people say anything at times of crisis. let us wait for the final report of the inferno and stop justuposing as though we are CSIs

A likely impossibility is always preferable to an unconvincing posibility.

one: If I were you,I would look for my primary school English teacher and run him/her out of town!!!!. Two: It is only a fool wh can believe your story. There is an outbreak of fire and you are busy waiting for your turn at the till to pay. Why not leav everything and raise your hands up as you run? Tell us another lie!!
