The photos here look like they are atleast in the 60's, 24 years ago (1988-9)Racecourse was long gone.
The track is where Race course estate is not langalanga, I remember the "grabbing" of the tracks was done in a very professional way

, first the council laid out the infrastructure including subdividing the plots (1/4 acre) access roads (tarmac), sewarage system, electricty including street lighting and left space amenities like shopping area (Zackayo's) and a school before they started selling the plots.
Now that should tell you how far back we have regressed as a nation.
