Don't be short sighted, David Gill was appointed in 2003 after Peter Kenyon left. Gill had been part of United from 1997. Ed Woodward has been at the club since 2005, is the executive vice chairman and will be the CEO. Fergie will be a loss, but he head hunted a man who shares many of his ethos. As for Phelan and Steele, isn't it obvious that when a new coach joins any club he comes with part of his staff? It's evident everywhere. Rooney going to PSG? Well, there are able replacements in the squad. Kagawa, Van Persie, etc. The castle may appear to crumble, but in critical thinking, what appears to be may not be.
