I think Millie wanted it to be a joke, but the punchline refused.

The bad joke she was trying to put across is that Kandie ni flat screen huko nyuma kwa hivio anaonewa na men in the vetting committee.

Shame on her silly thinking.

The cabinet is most likely going to be expanded to 20....expect 4 more nominees who will be rubberstamped by parliament!!!

Given what happened outside the National Assembly yesterday, I'm probably going to get lynched for saying this, but I agree with what one of their members said yesterday.

He said that the Committee on Appointments did not understand their mandate which is vetting i.e. performing a background check on the candidates in as far as their finances, criminal records, misconduct and issues of personal integrity.

What the Committee did in the case of Kandie was to interview her on her suitability for the job which was the mandate of the PORK and D-PORK.

So on that score, they failed in their responsibility and cannot disqualify Kandie.
