It'll be hard for Martinez to field a 2nd string team against City, most of these players know they might never get a chance of a cup final again so Martinez cannot deny the first team the chance. Sadly, I tend to agree that the cup final will be the final nail on Wigan's coffin - cup finals are normally do or die for these small teams. Arsenal should have easy pickings next Tue. In the long run, you can only escape relegation battles for so long.
Whichever team slips up between Arsenal and Spurs should end up in Europa, I just don't see Chelsea slipping up, Uefa cup final or not. Their depth is quite something.
As for Moyes,I'm very keen to see what he'll do with the huge transfer fees at his disposal, especially if Rooney is sold. He's never had such money in his life before, hehe. Man Utd were looking for a coach who values longevity in a club more than anything else. While I would have preferred a big name coach coming in, Moyes, if he does well, is a coach who can skuma Utd for another 10 years till he's 60, even 20 years if he's really successful. Remaining competitive in EPL may not be a hard ask considering Utd's winning spirit even with poor performances, what am not sure about is whether Moyes will be able to crack the monster that is the CL. Fergie's only blemish in his illustrious career is that he only won 2 CL's in 25 years. Even he admits as much. Had he won at least 3 then there'd be no debate about who's greater between him and Bill Shankly, the difference would be clear for all to see. But of course he's definitely the greatest manager in the EPL era and probably in English football.
