Hope it works. Wish him well as he pushes the city to the next level as he did with the KICC.

Based on his past public record alone (which is all I know about him anyway),I support. He's the kind of person that I would expect to move the City a notch higher from where Gakuo left off.

I guess his greatest battle will be with councillors and other City Hall insiders & cartels who might perceive him as a white collar 'softie' and try and bully him just to see how he reacts.

He must be ready to duck flying chairs and soda bottles every once in a while.

The city has degenerated to abysmal levels after Gakuo's departure ...Take a casual look at the garbage levels, the return of hawkers and untended flower beds and you will agree with me. Lord knows how much more rot in City hole Mr.Kisia will have to contend with. Anyway,I wish Mr. Kisia godspeed.

He will need to find ways of dealing with the councillors on one side and the city council officers and find a balance. He will definitely have to work extra hard to make the systems that Gakuo left keep rolling as he bring forth his ideas. One query though, what should be done to the hawkers menace.Any idea?

Good choice here, finally a clerk who possibly understands the needs of a city the size of Nairobi.

Hopefully he brings better people skills and will learn to shift the councillors out of his way without bruising their ego's,instead of working without them. Gakuo could have been a better manager had he this one ability, unfortunately,he had the people skills of a 50 year old spinster.

Oh and Kisia is much more photogenic,Gakuo did not inspire confidence in front of a camera.

Now where do we find a functioning mayor,

I guess if you can't win with facts, you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

As we approach 6 months since his appointment, what is his current score? Or is it still too early to judge.

He came on board with alot of zeal but after giving his strategic plan & sending some employees on leave,he exited the scene.
....now sending council askaris to arrest guys talking on phone on our streets is hardly a strategic plan or is it?

its never good till its gone!!!!

On a scale of 1-10 where 10 is excellent,he gets 2. Simpler stuff that Gakuo could have sorted in a week like the raw sewage that has been flowing on Ronald Ngala and Murang'a road for months. I bet Kisia is too polished to deal with that.
