ICC postpones Ruto, Sang trial

Quote:
Trial Chamber V of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has temporarily postponed the date of the trial’s start in the case of The Prosecutor v. William Samoei Ruto and Joshua Arap Sang.

The chamber has however conveyed a public status conference on 14 May 2013.

The court said that a new date for the trial’s opening will be scheduled after hearing the parties and participants’ observations during the status conference.

“The Chamber will also hold non-public ex parte status conferences with the Prosecution on 7 May 2013 and with the Defence on 14 May 2013, to discuss these issues and other procedural matters,” read a statement from ICC.

I like this because the way things were going, Sang was going to go to the gallows alone but now there is light at the end of the tunnel for him. Let ICC drop this charges and leave Kenyans alone. In any case the original factions are now together - what we were told during campaigns - not my words.

Let us wait for the laptops in peace!

I don't think the half-man's case will fade away anytime soon. They still have to justify their pay (ICC & kina Maina Kiai's/Makau's NGOs) and I think they have more solid evidence against him. I think they will keep harassing him for a while. Poor guy.

If a murder is committed does it matter the means? I thought the end result is what counts...

I think ICC fellows have run out of ammunition and are just running around like the headless chickens...
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...
