Howard Webb was seen on the roof of a London skyscraper, and had to be convinced not to jump.

He has now been offered a position of player/referee/manager for Man U for next season.

One man, Jose Mourhino might have the chance, he is already at 20 at only 50 years!!!

I was gutted by the news. Still in shock!!! By my estimate, he was to do approx. 3 years more. I had reason to believe that he would try and win one more champions league before he retires! The ref messed that up for him against Real in the second leg!

What a manager! He has left Man United at one of it's strongest point. A mix of very experienced players a and talented youngsters! One of the best squads we have had.

Successor? Mourinho is TOO controversial to be a Man United manager! That and the fact that he doesn't stay in one team too long. He might decide to settle but can he avoid controversies??? He's not on my list. David Moyes by a country mile then Klop. End of list!!!

In other news, Rooney wants to leave - asked SAF two weeks ago. Will David Moyes' arrival hasten his departure - given their problems in the past culminating in a court case (Rooney and his publisher sued by Moyes) - or will he change his mind in anticipation of more playing time and given the fact that they have buried their differences?

There is speculation that Ronaldo is almost coming back home! That might encourage Rooney to stay given their winning partnership!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I would love to see Ryan Giggs manage united one day. He should be given some coaching role as soon as he retires as a footballer! Then when the time is right, he can become the manager!

I think with SAF gone he'll not be eager to make a return to OT. If Mourinho ends up at Chelsea then there's a high chance that he could convince CR7 to join him, besides i think Abramovich would be willing to spend almost everything he has to sign him.

On Rooney... I think he should go...he is laden with demands like a little girl.
Every 2 years will we be having this kind of attitude? If players like Giggs and Scholes are not a motivation for him to stay then what's the point hanging onto him.

Time to let the guy go moreso, if there is a chance of landing Lewo or Falcao.

Infact I think currently compared to his on field contribution he is overpaid and 250K pounds per week!!!
