Depends on your preferences

Indian
Haandi (westlands, muthaiga or capital centre - whichever is nearer to you)

Continental
Java - i loooooove their food - any that i have tried.

chinese
china plate (guaranteed to love their food unless your pick is bad),fang fang(i think that was the name - near strathmore school - was there a while a go so dont knwo if still there but its good)

italian
either Osteria (next to casablanca - if they have not moved but i hear they have another in westlands)
Divino - just past yaya
mediterranio - nakuman juction

Ethiopian
Habesha - past divino

Brazillian
Panari - its called pa somehting but i dont like too much meat so the few times i have visited i dint quite enjoy the food but the ambiance is great....(its actually like carnivore - same concept)
fungo (or something like that in westlands - i like this one)

Thai
The new stanley

I think average price is like 1.5 - 2k per head depending on your choice then you add drinks.

gosh wendz

you are too posh or plain minted. the places you jotted will cost the dude an arm and a leg. fyi- osteria are still along lenana rd- next to nigerian high comm and they also own casablanca you talked about. other osteria joints are in karen, village mkt, westie and malindi. the dude who posted the question can try osewe/ronalo for real delicious african dishes. kimathi st,near nation centre. will cost you about 300 bob, worth every cent!

bob appetite!

@jaribu

the guy said he wants to treat himself.... And well,if you work too hard, treating yourself once in a while is just in order - just like going on holiday(which i hardly do). i dont dine in these places often but i do treat myself once in a while - a long while sometimes - even if its once in 6 months. by the way,you will be surprised a dinner for a family is equivalent to one sitting of a beer drinking on a good friday evening with friends so it doesnt make much of a difference. As i said, dinner for 1 is around 1.5k or 2k - ask those who drink if this is anything when you are drinking with friends.

by the way,whats 'plain minted'?
