In my honest opinion, we are top 2 in Africa after SA in democracy terms and definitely in top 30 worldwide after the just concluded elections and settlement of the supreme court petition.

We should not confuse being competitive with being undemocratic. Kenyan political space is very competitve unlike the rest of Africa.

Those economist (western)etc opinions are based on yesternews. The downside is that there opinion matters

Like this, or run by Kenyan pollsters, who have gotten wrong two consecutive elections. Look at it Rao was always at about the 50% mark, while Uk was ussualy around 43% mark. Talk of reversed roles.

SA are still in their honeymoon - they are kenya in the 80s. ANC is KANU. ANC and CCM of TZ will in the near future disintegrate into ideological or ethnic parties as right now they are multi-ethnic and multi-ideological.
