From the two statements above its quite clear that the President did not contradict his Deputy in any way. Balala and Ngilu were/are politicians but once they are appointed as Cabinet Secretaries they'll be expected to refrain from politics and focus on their roles in Cabinet.

i also agree with @ Taz. Am glad most people have realized cord supporters are only interested in creating a wedge btn Uhuruto. Seems they don't have any other card to win future elections.

If its given to Yvonne(the security one), we end up having two powerful ladies in charge of security issues. Wololo

Defence should have been given to a Maa Person. However, giving it to Kaliech's daughter seemed sensibe. She will only be doing Admin work. KDF have a CIC

Security Secretary will be a Vaite. With labour going to Maa. or vice versa.

Lakini hii speculation mob ni ya nini. These secretaries will have to work very hard. Days of who comes from where will be forgotten after confirmations.

apparently the kisii are in shock that the first cabinet secretary to be named came from the region despite voting for cord. i doubt they will forget that gesture by UK soon..
