Didn't know where to put this topic but here seems most relevant.

Was just wondering if anyone here is a trader? It's lonely work...would be nice to have someone to chat to, exchange ideas.

I'm a relatively short term trader from Kenya, focus mainly on futures (commodities, bonds and equity) and a little bit of FX.

Would love to do the same in Kenya if this ever gets off the ground

Hi symbols, thanks!

What methods are people using to trade? Technical or fundamental? Or a mix?

Would love to know!

interesting, some questions for the consultant

1. CMA act prohibits short selling how will you workaround this?
2. Re ccy futures how do you plan to circumvent CBK rules as regards tenor and participation of counter-parties(ie local vs offshore)?

If they make it difficult to trade then I won't do it. I'm hoping the new market will have its own regulations.

Had no idea short selling was banned in Kenya, that's ridiculous. There will be absolutely no liquidity in the futures if they do the same.
