Obi Wan - not so fast.....one NEED NOT be active in politics but have a certain thing about them - not just popularity,academic credentials,etc. There is another post about Peter Kenneth - now HE would make a good leader. There is a school of thought that feels PLO would - I think about 36.765 million Kenyans would half the time be WTF? What did he say? KJ tried to oust Beth Mugo....with poor results (ok,lets not go into rigging but personally I think he is just a kid with NOTHING to offer and no real EMPATHY). The new Nakuru MP (I forget his name but he looks like Tyrese the singer) He comes across as level headed and probably a good 'mid fielder' to pass balls on,help defence,help strike and captain a team.

Take Caroline Mutoko from the list. Nothing personal - as a media person,it serves her stations interest to be controversial and scandalous (that whats sells headlines,gets listenership,gets ad revenue,etc). Rule out Equity's Mwangi - he see's the nation as people who need money and creates products for them - if his staff do not perform,he fires them. Now make him a president - Parliament drags its feet with a crucial bill (e.g. Finance Bill) - lets agrees that there will always be idiots at some stage in parliament - some of them will be demagogues that can marshall support to frustrate someone - what can he do?


All I am saying,its all very well to PRIVATISE the government (that is what is implied by Kenya Inc.) - to run the country like a company.....but Jesus! there are so many aspects to this - its not like privatisaing Telkom...or even letting a Game reserves into private hands....its so much MUCH more.

My take is that James Mwangi has been a success with equity because of his leadership and not coz he is a good banker.

Hence if you bring him to public life,he will be able to move with his personality. He may not succeed as a politician but he definitely will succeed as a leader,the same can be said for Wangari maathai,Mutoko etc.




I guess if you can't win with facts,you can always pen bile-laced,xenophobic rants to distract everyone.

they always find faults everywhere... at one time,we complain of the old guards who have ruled this country since time immemorial and put us in the miserable situation we are in... when people try to inject new blood,we claim they have no experience.... ok,mnataka tutoe wapi leaders?? We stick with the ones we have? Unless you are beneficiaries of their misrule,then you cant be telling us much to help us get out of the pit they have put us by criticizing everyone who is suggested... Please give us your list we vet?

I think it's all very frustrating trying to know what Kenyans want and so not knowing what to give us the current leaders offer us crap.We grumble some more but we take it. Here is a chance to make a choice as informed Kenyans but what do we do,we spurn it. Isn't it an oddity hungry people rejecting a food offer?

I can see Vimal Shah,Titus Naikuni,Gerald Mahinda,etc who have run businesses. I like Vimal Shah coz he has built his own business into a regional giant. Mahinda runs Kenya's largest business.

Another candidate I favour is Leakey. He has shown competence esp when dealing with thugs/poachers.

Can MJ run for prez if he becomes (changes his nationality) a Kenyan?
