Spainards now need miracles...and if that doesnt happen the Germans will with a lot of glee annex a part of the England called Wembley...

On a different note, that seemed like very poor tactical preparation from Mourinho...quite uncharacteristic...Seemed to me they only resorted to route 1 to Ronaldo and for a game changer introduced fresh legs to play out the same failed tactics!

Jose...is risking leaving spain Champions league trophyless!

Lewandoski's performance reminds me of one Falcao who gave Chelsea a lesson when Atletico Madrid met Chelsea earlier in the season!

Who remembers this?

The renaissance of German football is complete!

Quotes from Klopp and Jose after the match:

http://www.uefa.com/uefa...match/quotes/index.html

I think Klopp has to be credited for an inspiring half time talk because after the CR7 equalizer, I felt that Dortmund might implode, but what a 2nd half performance! That 3rd goal by Lewandowski was superior in terms of technique and sheer composure under pressure from Varane. Initially I didn't want an all German final but now I don't have reservations - if the two Bavarian giants display a similar level of football, we might see one of the greatest finals ever. Unfortunately finals can disrupt teams, especially teams that know each other so well and have played each other many times during the season. You can find a cagey drub affair where neither team is willing to take chances for fear of making a mistake! I really hope that doesn't happen.

At the risk of sounding like am taking away the German performances, the Barca that played on Tue is not the same Barca that played at Nou Camp against AC Milan with a 2 nil deficit from the first leg. I truly believe if that Barca had shown up, the 4 nil result would have been different but I still feel Bayern had enough to win either way. I think with a preferred back 4 of Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane and Coentrao and Di Maria at the right wing so that Ozil played down the middle instead of Modric, Madrid would have given a better performance but still lost, maybe 4-2...which is a better scoreline to take home. That said, Dortmund pressed for every ball, much like Bayern, and their work rate was out of this world. Clearly when big teams are pressed, their normal play is disrupted ( I remember when Athletic Bilbao did the same to Man Utd home and away).

Like Mourinho said, in the semi and final, a team has to put up such performances. Barca and Madrid did not. It will be criminal if either of them overturn the deficit.
