the above description of doctors is true, most of them have zero social skills and their specialization makes them masters of one field but have zero knowledge on other aspects. I'm not a lawyer but lawyers seem to have knowledge about many other things. Doctors do a great job in the surgery rooms but they are not good managers. i doubt whether they can listen to anyone without a condescending attitude

Dr. William Obwaka played for Hakati FC, Uthiru FC and Harambee Stars. Ask @McReggae he knows him. Dr. Bonny Khalwale is a bull fighter. Dr. Ng'ani (Chairman, KMPDU) is the national chess champion. Doctors have other talents other than Surgery. You doubt Dr. Frank Njenga can listen to you patiently, politely & with empathy?

Is Dr. Magoha sociable?
If so then not the one VC at UoN.
Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

Dr. Magoha (Mrs) is very very sociable. Prof. Magoha by virtue of "where he comes from" and so that students "don't joke around with him" he puts on a harsh face. But he wouldn't mind a chat with anyone.

I see, like MPs, there's no love lost for doctors. Too much hate.

As much as they feel one of their own will be better placed to understand the Health sector, I tend to believe the problem at Afya House are more of policy management and health economics than operational. Am sure they will get a medic for Principal Secretary.

IMO, they should give the guy a chance. Michuki was not trained in transport or communication matters. look at what he did to the sector.

I don't have anything against the doctors but truth be said most medical doctors don't know much outside their profession and specializations.......very narrow in operationsofession and specializations. I think most doctors have an elitist attitude that doesn't help much in matters leadership and management. Most are cold, individualistic, albeit bright people who do not know a thing other than medicine which doesn't make for the greatest thinkers or managers of other people. Their social networks do not go beyond family, patient relatives and professional friends, paramedics... And such high profile appointments as Ministerial positions need emotional intelligence and that is a rare commodity among those of the noble profession of medicine.

Yeah, these doctors should just "accept change and move on". We appreciate you but please focus on your calling instead.
