1 What are the causes of these v.painful-to-treat things

2. What is the cure?

3. Do they run in a family?

do they have to attack the sitting apparatus? or armpits?

2. Cure

Hire six strong men.

Lie down back up,one man to sit on your head.

Two men to sit on hands,two men to sit on the legs

The last one to press the boil hard for five minutes.

Boils are bacterial infections of the skin. The primary cause is Staphylococcus bacteria that is treatable with an antibiotic. Please see your doctor for a prescription if it is a one of incident.

If however the problem is persistent then you have to go deeper and deal with the underlying cause. The most common cause of persistent bacterial infections is poor hygiene. The perineum (a**hole region) and adjacent areas are particularly susceptible because of what goes on around there.

Faecal material is usually left clinging to the surrounding areas of the a**hole after defacation creating a fertile environment for bacterial culture. To prevent this try using a squatting position as opposed to sitting position when on a 'long call '. This allows for maximal buttock opening. For children get them the 'poty' they have to squat over as oppsed to one where they sit. If no other mode of cleaning is available use a tissue paper to wipe off yourself always wiping from front to back.

As pointed out above tissue cleaning is inadequate and best practice would be to clean the anal area with soap and water. It is possible to train yourself to take a dunk at specific times of the day when you are about to take a shower. You should always take a dunk before a shower during which you can thoroughly clean yourself.

Always take lots of fibre (Vegetables,whole grain meals,fruits etc) with your meals to create feaces that pass out easily rather than stick around your a**hole. Drink lots of water too.

Overweight people have creases that are difficult to clean thus creating perfect areas for bacteria to hide. It is easier to keep a lean body clean.

Avoid using medicated soaps or disinfectant solutions regularly. A normal skin always has good bacteria that help keep the bad bacteria and fungi away. Medicated soaps kill bacteria indiscriminately thus creating an imbalance in the normal flora and allows the bad bacteria to thrive.

Get into exercise that allows you to break into a sweat. Exercise increases blood supply to the skin bringing with it disease fighting and healing and repair cells to keep the skin healthy. This also keeps the skin moisturised. (Ladies,forget all the misturising stuff they sell you in the shops,the best moisturizer is a good,sweaty workout).

My doctor told me they are easy to cure for life. Simply allow them to 'ripen' and allow the purse (is that how to spell it?) to flow out naturally,without squeezing. Cover the boil with an absorbent gauze to avoid looking unsightly.

The science behind it is as follows: a boil is formed when you have an infection and the body accumulates the germs just under the skin. When you squeeze or disturb the boil,you will remove most of the germs out but you will push some of them back into the blood stream.

Secondly,allowing the boil to 'ripen' helps the body make enough anti-bodies to fight what ever infection that caused them in first place. This is important in avoiding recurrence.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

A boil is a collection of dead body tissue and bacteria in the body. Contrary to what has been indicated else where in the post,a boil can form anywhere in or on the body including the brian,chest,abdomen,etc. and vary's in size and shape. A boil forms in two ways. First and more common method is the introduction of pus forming bacteria into a local body tissue,eg as in use of sharp objects,or through a weak point in the skin eg sweat pore,or,through blood,and lymph fluid. After the introduction,the bacteria rapidly multiply in the region using the body tissue as a source of nutrition,leading to localised irritation. This leads to death of body tissues. The second method of formation is when body tissues die due to lack of blood supply or oxygen. This attracts the few bacteria in the body to feed on the dead tissue. The bacterial activity leads to increase in pressure,pushing the liquid contents through weak points in the body untill they reach the outside. Before reaching the skin the boil presents as a painfull swelling. Treatment of boils vary depending on the body tissue and extent of the boil. Only small boils are allowed to ripen. Others may resolve after a course of antibiotics. But large boils around vital structures may be punctured and drained using a surgical operation. And again contrary to the wisdom expressed else where in the thread,several bacterial species cause boils. The doctor will ask for a culture and sensitivity test to determine which bacteria are present and which antibiotic agent is effective. As in other painfull conditions,pain killers are used. Hygien is maintained by use of cotton gauzes and various cleansing solutions. Frequent occurrence of boils may be a pointer to a weak immune system,caused by poor diet,hiv,or some blood conditions.

@brav,

my recommendations are;

If its a one of thing.........I will give you a prescription and assuming that you are above 18 years without allergies to certain drugs...in this case penicillins....and if you are a lady...hoping not pregnanat or brest feeding....

you need Flucloxacillin 500mg capsules .....take one capsule four times a day for seven days......(buy from your pharmacist) and you may apply Fucicort cream on the affected areas(but not a must but if extensive pls consider)
If the condition is extensive and big.....ripe...just visit your nearest healthcare facility and have an I & D done (incision & drainage) to expel the content and remember you must take drugs mentioned above even if an I & D is done to kill the bacteria......s.aureus spp

In the event that the condition has been recurring..please consider having the following medical checks done....;

Blood sugar levels for possible glucose impairement
Autoimune diseases eg HIV & AIDs

Disclaimer : This is my opinion and not a recommendation.
