I think Protocol dictates that the President should be the last guest to arrive at any public event. I'm not sure if this qualifies as one but i'm sure OAR can't pull such a stunt elsewhere.....

By the way, that's true. Afterwards, the gates/access is closed. check most public functions in stadiums. But this was a burial and not a public function so, i bet RAO could skip all together and he shouldn't be condemned.
However, in my opinion, if he was trying to prove a point, i think he's doing it the wrong way.... he might end up hurting himself more and making UK win "sympathy" for being treated with "madharau".... That wont win Raila much confidence which is what he should be trying to do.
