[quote=poundfoolish]So what are the reasons causing so much slight delay..
The duo was already on the ground running after IEBC gave them the certificate...
kwani they thought they will carry out the policies wakiwa wawili..
If memory serves me right. When they went to Mombasa, tulionyeshwa wakiwa na Ipads... going through possible nominees to the cabinet.. that was 3 weeks ago..

The dude's are still polishing it. Before they get it perfect, they try several times....

The Cordashians on the other hand want us to believe there is a stand off between the President and his Deputy. Truth is we all don't know why they are taking their time to make the announcement but i think it will probably be done today in the afternoon.

This thing is very simple. If UK nominates the Cabinet Secretaries now, where will he take them next na hakuna Appointments committee?

You don't expect him to go like..."Today I have nominated the following for the position of Cabinet Secretaries. I will however place the names in my drawer at State House until the National Assembly appoints the Appointments committee?"

The President's Speech should be..."This afternoon, in accordance with Article 152 of our Constitution, I have forwarded the following nominees to the NA for consideration by the Appointments Committee of the House...."

The cabinet will be nominated at:

t+2hours

where t= time the Appointments Committee is approved by Bunge.

Their appointees will have to be vetted by parliament. It would be very embarrassing for the president and deputy if they appoint a crook. I would also take my time if I'm UK/WSR. And don't forget gender balance and ethnic balance, then you have to contact the candidates and ask them if they are willing to quit their lucrative jobs, go through (embarrassing) public scrutiny to work for you/nation. It's not that easy.

BBI will solve it
