Can we just acknowledge that tribalism still drive the agenda regardless of whether you support UK or Raila? Driving the agenda means, most people just vote along the tribal lines. The reason why UK won is because there were more Kyuks and Kalenjins than Luos and Kambas!

What about the voting patterns in turkana, samburu, maasai land and NE where it was a 50-50 split .This was OAR turf in 07 .why did some voters decide to go for UK?

Simple answer, because those regions were not motivated by tribal politics, as a matter of facts, 50-50 split in those regions is a clear indication of what actually drive agendas in the country.

Plus CORD effect let him down. I honestly expected a lot from the youngsters like Ababu Namwamba, KJ and Prezzo, why did they perform so dismally and yet they were getting salaries? Sad Even updating Raila's FB page was a problem. Plus the campaign billboards and all, I remember at one point Kalonzo was featured nowhere, and the few that they were together, Kalonzo had been photoshopped, ni kama they had no time to go to the studio wapigwe picha moja and that did not help the rumors that they had no chemistry Sad

I know both Lady and Lord Wazua don't like me saying this (they deleted my post on the same sometimes back) but that "tyranny of ...... whatever" by one Janet(ODM heavyweight) changed many people's heart towards CORD - not necessarily RAO.... but the fact that those responsible were going to be the backbone of the government left a sour taste in mouth... It only helped to strengthen the rumour on "trust" issues.

@jaribu, you've been gone awhile more like a year. I agree with these observations:

(A) @washiku more people voted UK than those who voted RAO
(B) @blackcobra RAO lost terribly after the party nominations where he could not solve small party wrangles and actually made CORD look like his club.
(C). @ZZE123 UhuRuto were mobilizing people in their strong holds to register as voters
(D) @Gathige Angela Ambitho: The queen of opinion polls made him King of a house of cards.

And last but most important of all:
(E) @blackcobra Nobody but him (RAO) spoilt for himself..... God lifts the humble!

Ababu i think is not someone who can be considered a strategist. He is more of kuongea,na shida is that when he talks,he talks with bitterness and not authority. He does not necessarily command any following. From my point of view,i think if the former PM wants another stab at the presidency,he needs to shake off from all these people and craft a winning team and formula. I might even leave 'Kajea' and join him.

Sijaona @MC akichangia hapa,i am just seeing him huko kwa cabinet appointmentssmile
