I tried to buy when KQ fell to 18 but I was not lucky. Some people made a killing esp since the price has gone back to 23/-,the price before the 2008-9 results were announced.

Any SKerians lucky to get shares at 18/-?

Which firms are next in line to release results?

weep not a child, there are many other deals to buy! KQ is good for speculative purposes from 18-24 and back. Buying now at 23bob hoping to sell at 28 is a dream! Not in the near future! Probably 1 year down the line!

I think that the cash rich firms (incl KQ) that can/are expanding regionally will be huge winners in 2-3 years.

Others are EABL,KCB,Equity,etc

I hope to time the next one. Total fell to 26 on panic selling then recovered. Same happened to Kenol. Then KQ. Lakini, does this depend on the broker?

You may be right. Watching live prices. Sellers are hiding. Buyers out in full force. Also price up 8%.

@ VVS,

This largely depends on the broker simply because if they don't operate an efficient system then you can not achieve your goals.

@The General - At 24 cd. I will watch but tempted to jump in after looking at the information presented (on the website). I would feel much better AFTER seeing the annual report.

I am trying to calculate the market share for KQ within Africa but considering an 11.2% drop in RPK in Africa & KQ's INCREASE of 4.4%... this means KQ's market share increased. Of course, countries like S.Africa account for a huge percentage of domestic traffic that KQ will never see...

Exactly. Sunil Shah is the local equivalent of Warren Buffet.. He picked up KCB by the truckloads while no one believed it would survive the 2004 losses

Skin in the game. He became a director who, as I understood it, was instrumental in picking MOO as a director.
@Ericsson - And good investing habits, very smart guy, reads a lot including Annual Reports, 10Ks, etc. Graham and Dodd. Not just luck.
