I know this is getting old and boring but I'm very proud Kenyans called the bluff on the Western powers and shamed them infront of the whole world! This must be very hard for them to swallow!

Uhuru and Ruto Meet the US Ambassador!

Quote:
When it comes down to it, several analysts have said, the United States actually needs Kenya more than Kenya needs the United States.

More like consequences have choices, atleast the good thing about all this is it was proven to never listen to so called know it alls, majority of the time they are wrong. Americans are very pragmatic, they sat down after elections and weighed the pros and cons of dealing with Uhuruto and realized its in their best interests to engage them. Not only does Kenya have oil, but its their strongest ally in the fight against Al Shabab. Interesting how UK sent a covert message that if they want to negotiate with his government, it should be directly from Obama and not through an Ambassador, talk about knowing your worth and using it to leverage.

You've made my day. Applause Applause But it is true that in their dealing with other countries Westerners are driven by their countries own interests. We Africans should likewise be guided by what is best for our countries when dealing with these fellas.

the march 4 election has sent out a strong message to the west - that kenyans don't care what they think of us or our leaders. can anyone open an online article on Uhuru and/or Ruto that does not have 'ICC' or 'Crimes against humanity' in it? I have not - African news papers on the same rarely have that in them - that should send a clear signal to the west on the subject matter.

When I go through this thread, I keep on hearing the words "Swallowing my words has never caused me indigestion."

The Kenian Voter has embarrassed the State Department of the United States. They will not forget that in a hurry and Payback is a Bitch.

We beat our chests after having won the battle failing to remember that five years is a long time in the resulting war.

Ponder that.
