Not even a Senator???

But I think the constitution needs to be amended so that the runner up in a presidential election becomes a senator automatically. Isn't this the way it is the the US? It makes a lot of sense.

At least upto this point, I treat this as a rumour. Secondly, its MPs who av promised, its not RAO who have requested. I hope he would turn down such an offer.

US are the masters of winner take all. Just ask Mitt Romney! he's already back in private business. Al Gore no longer in active politics!
