On Rao, he has all the rights to criticize the govt where it goes wrong, but he can't order the governors. I doubt even the president can issue such orders to them. His powers to order r long gone. He can only oppose, advise etc just

Mmmmhhh

There are those in this forum who still believe we are going for elections next week.

Please understand those vitas of Raila this or that are over.

I suggested before we talk about laptops. It seems most did not understand.

There is a current gov't which seems to be intent on ruling from State House and an incoming which, well, we don't know what it wants yet.

Temper your arguments from now on. Raila is but a citizen like you. All his comments were not sent by the devil.

Unless you are so scared of the fellow, you still cringe in fear when he speaks.

The question is, who asked the PC's to take the money belonging to our Governors? Please answer without saying Raila. Why shouldn't Kabogo drive a state car with a flag?

The national govt and county gifts are separate and distinct. National govt has to operate throughout the country and hence has to have personnel even at the sublocation level. It matters not what you call the National govt structure but it is embedded in law - the National Government Coordination Act.

I agree with you. he has a point but i think he's addressing it wrongly.... how about addressing it to UK/WR to look into it? He cant issue orders to them not to abide with the directives they have been given, am sure he can look for other ways of doing it unless he wants to make the governments "ungovernable". I do honestly believe, if he was in power, and anyone tried to say the same things, he'd not take it kindly.

that said, why again is Kidero not occupying the PM's office? I thought we built a VP's residence which has his office there? Why cant WR use that office? I think we waste so much resources in this country! WR should stick to the Karen (current) VP offices. If he does not want to use it, how about donating it to Kidero to use it, am sure he can still do a good job working from there.

I thought the president has statehouse, why does he need Harambee House.

Isn't a governor a mayor, more or less? What happens to City Hall?

The question for now is no so much of who said what about what, rather the implications of the power struggle between the two 'governments'. First quite a number still dont even seem to know what form of govt are we in whether unitary, federal , hybrid or.....Anyway we cant underscore the role of central government in collection of taxes, payment of their salaries, provision of critical services etc but the most important for 'us' should be equivalent of what they refer to concurrency transparency in computing lingo

@Mawainder – Kuwa Mpole RAO is already down and you are kicking the man!

I guess he is still going through the motions of loss and grief.....Let us allow him to payuka till 8th April.Seems he wants to hold onto power(PM) till the last day.

After 8th, he should keep quiet forever or till 2017.We do not need his advise. Not now not ever.

BTW Bishop Maggie can do well in praying for him.......

I dedicate the Serenity Prayer.

We meaning? You and your friends and relatives or you as Jubilee. I hope this is not a sign of some delusion on your part that somehow you shall be part of Uhuru's government and have a say in how it is run.

Harambee house is also called Office of the President. There are probably 500 staff who work there for the president (or there used to be during Moi's time). The Presidency is like a ministry.

BBI will solve it

from a risk perspective, the president and the deputy president should work very far from each other.

Or better still they could share the former PM office which I believe is large enough.

most of our leaders love wasting time on trivial things mara sijui gari ya nani iwe na two flags/zisiwe na flag bla bla bla instead of working...and am with the idea of them sharing that office it is indeed big enough.
