UMK must put a stop to this by emphasizing the importance of the independence of institutions!!

I hope he gets out the big whip and deals with this fellows. And he should do the same thing he did with Shebesh and Sonko when they deserted baba yao!

He should tell them to their face that the Salaries commission has spoken, it's independence is to be respected, there are more pressing things to do, their salary is MORE than sufficient given the size of the Kenyan economy, he will NEVER sign a bill seeking to disband the commission or increase members salaries and who ever doesn't like it can quit and go back to his high paying job - never mind some are former makangas, kiosk owners and some have never had a real job or thriving business to speak about!

DITTO

one of the Vocal proponents of this crap is Mp for Emuru Dikir Johanna somebody, who up untill end of 2012 was a school head master. Whom I suspect was earning less than 100k.

all of a sudden 500k is peanuts Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

how exactly are they planning to do this, I thought the process is enshrined in the constitution.

The reality is that the outgoing House set a precedent in this behaviour and it seems to me that the new MPigs are so determined, I will not be surprised if they succeed. They can hold House business at ransom and given that this is an issue that would defy party lines, UK is in for a tough test indeed.

you are right they will do exactly that...and as usual get away with it.

Had to change the topic, now that even the governors have joined in. Senators? Hmmmmm.

Governors want to fly flags and addressed as 'your excellency'. yet to even set up office and they are already falling all over each other. Tutawesmake kweli with these groups?

I guess they are right. They need the salary structure to be reviewed/revised since the structure in place was for 2012. we also get salary reviews and awards in the 1st quarter of every year.

Now we have opportunities for president Kamwana to start exercising leadership, and prove whether our faith is in vain.

Only you and your staff mates!

These Mpigs have not even had any business in the house other than election of the speakers. Their salary review is gathered for in the SRC gazette notice. It will increase up to a certain limit in the 5th year. No salary will ever be adequate. Any who feel the offer is little should just resign and go for greener pastures period!!
