Oraro (the good lawyer he is) did a good job of making a fist out of dust, and cast doubt on a matter that originally lacked substance.

In short, I don't think the Cord case had any merit.

Any way, election kwisha, Cord lost fairly, its not the end of the world. I hope they come up with a better plan in 2017. Tutakuwa nyuma yao regardless of how UHURUTO perform.

That statement summarises the nature of Kenyan politics: that is, it doesn't matter what you do to uplift the society, if you are not in "our camp", we shall never vote for you!

Conversely, it doesn't matter how much you destroy the Kenyan society, if you are in our camp. we shall always vote for you.

God help us!

@ mukiha,
The great thing with democracy is the majority always win. You cannot control peoples emotions or feelings but you can use yours. They say the best way to change someone else is to change yourself or stick to what you believe in.

That said, I hope IEBC conducts an internal audit and fix the small broken parts in time for future elections.

BBI will solve it

I don't think it was unanimous but then again The Mutunga court had to appear a united court. My view. That MP is wasting his time.

Seems like stupid never ended with the 10th Parliament. If I were Jubilee I would support that motion or anything that allows me to kick out the independent judges and with control of Parliament replace them with judges of my persuasion.

@callaspade maybe a drink will help you not only read but at least try to comprehend. A puff of the weed might even make you see what we are saying above.

Let me break down my comment above in point forms to help you understand (assuming you are not already beyond help):

1. We agree checks and balances are necessary and more so I want that for Kenya but that's not what my comment above is about.
2. However what do you think the Jubilee government (or any other government for that matter) would want - an independent judiciary or one it can control?
3. So if you were a CORD MP and not stupid and knowing that Jubilee controls both houses and will have a say in the appointment of any Judge of the Supreme Court will you want to get rid of the current Supreme Court judges?

So answer me just these two questions:

1. Why would a CORD MP want to get rid of the current independent (in my opinion) Supreme Court judges when his party wont have a say in their replacement unless he is stupid or 'sober' the callaspade way?

2. Why would the Jubilee government not want a Supreme Court of their own choosing?

As a citizen I would be against any such move to replace the Judges; but if I were part of Jubilee I would be rubbing my hands in glee at this callaspade soberness.

Of course that would not be progress and would be personally against it. See my response at no. 78 above.
