Court tells Nyong'o to resign or stepdown

High court judge Isaac Lenaola has advised Medical services Minister Anyang Nyong'o to either resign or step down as a senator stating that the law does not allow him to take oath as senator while he still in office.

Go away Ny'ong'o

Sometimes, you can have great legal mind but you lose the case on either lack of adequate evidence or if the judges rule the case with the "best public interest" at heart. I hope winning/losing of this case will not be the measure of good legal mind.... the arguments too should count.

National Assembly Speaker Elections: Jubilees Justin Muturi 202 votes, Kenneth 144votes ,2 spoilt votes ,Total votes cast 348. #Round1

that is very bad news... when will mpigs ever vote for a person based on performance? these jubilee forks are now getting it wrong... sycophancy, sycophancy++++.... ABK!!

With the select in the gallarey what do you expect!!!!

It's called democracy. you asked for it, you get it. Marende was good in the house but his obsession with Mpigs salaries and perks was his downfall. At least in my view I will not miss him. Hope the new speaker doesn't go down that path. It's the Jubilee year ladies and gentlemen.

Laughing out loudly afterall it can only be democracy if some quarters win. What we have seen at the senate and the NA is exactly what happened on March 4th.

NO NO NO!!!!

It will be EXTREMELY unfair to judge the competence of the lawyers on this case alone.

This case is already skewed in terms of facts.

Asi! Ngatia has shown a clip where CORD is objecting to the use of BVR technology...Doesn't this then put emphasis on CORD's argument that IEBC was not capable of handling such technology...

Surely, do u think the guy would have qualified to be the LSK chair and a member of the JSC with no case won? Some arrogance is needed in law

Yes. Like with all the elective posts, all one needs for those two is to be a good politician. Winning of cases or brilliance in court is not a requirement.

Politics is not a profession my friend. The guy has proven to his fellow learned friends that he is worth the salt.
