Dear Members,
Thank you for the contributions yesterday. We were proud to be a part of our community.
Rules and policies:
1. Every day, one thread only Politics update for [date] will be created
2. All members will be allowed to only post links to reputable news sources with an explaining line or caption
3. Text of article should not be copied in full to the thread
4. No member may post the same link more than once
5. Post should not state personal opinions, whether positive or negative, towards a political party, presidential candidate, or their supporters.
Should more than five members willingly violate the rules, they will have succeeded in freezing political discussions for that day.
Further note, members may discuss the television proceedings, as relates to parties and progress, but not as regards to substance before the court.
For the record, Subjudice rules in common law consider the following activities contempt:
- publishing information obtained from confidential court documents;
- anticipating the course of a trial or predicting the outcome;

Though it's more likely there are some blokes/dames moderating. This perception of @Admin as a woman must have some psychological dissertation somewhere. Maybe it speaks of Wazuans male population fascination with a female disciplinarian, or latent issues relating to mothering. After all, we men are grown boys and seem to behave as such here anyway.

AFRICOG wants Bomet and Nyeri poll results cancelled. The video played at the Supreme Court showed Nyeri County returning officer reading the votes for Mr Kenyatta as 317,881 and for Mr Raila Odinga, who is also challenging the results, as 6,075. Ms Kilonzo said the summary of Form 36 declared at Bomas of Kenya, however, gave Mr Kenyatta 318,880 votes and Mr Odinga 5,638 votes. She said Africog’s audit of results announced at constituency level and those declared at Bomas showed a discrepancy of more than one million votes.
