Kitale Farm Lease/Sale

I have been lurking in the shadows for a while hoping to find an answer to my question but haven't seen anything yet. The property is a 10 acre farm in Kitale (Ex-Prison farm near kwa muini). I am interested in finding out the sale price and lease price per acre.

Leasing an acre in that area goes for around Kshs 3,000 per acre , The selling price per acre should be 600,000 if its near the road however if its further in then it will be around 400,000-500,000 the availability of water and electricity also will determine the selling price.

Thanks for your response. The farm is 3.5 miles form Kitale-Eldoret Rd and 4 miles from Kitale-Kisumu road. There is a borehole but I'm not sure if there is electricity.

Why you not contact any property agent and confirmed the exact value of that place. I think he will be guide you better but contact atleast two or more different persons.

A trusted relative or friend I suggest . Otherwise when dealing with land issues DIY.

SANSA, I just read your thread and am glad to inform you that i work as a property valuer. am registered with valuers registration board. When determining the lease value and sale value of a property, several factors such as lease period, type of tenancy and the physical nature of the property should be factored in. I am based in Nairobi, though you can give me the assignment of ascertaining the value and carrying out a valuation inspection for the said farm before investing your money there. NO...it does not work that way. @SANSA This guy may be genuine but due diligence must follow your decision to use him. He has not previously talked about his business, has not posted anything related to his line of Biz. And wants your job?
