What if the court upholds the concerns raised e.g. Cases of altered register to an extent that the final result could have been affected should it be ignored?

And should RAO be blamed for raising the issues?

Pamba is clearly a dying horse headed to the dustbin!!!

Ok, let him have his way so long as he is not just wasting our time.....

@Josiah

Its not a waste of time at all, even if he looses it will provide the much need closure. This is the only way all Kenyans will accept the results in their hearts.

Kenyans already accepted. Its only Raila and his financiers who are just dragging us through unnecessary court cases

i say let him have his right... i actually feel its good we are testing alll the arms of govt.. all the institutions for their readiness in the new dispensation..
unless the court orders the e.v.i.d's mandatory in a run off.. i still expect CORD thwaked a resounding one this time round..

It is only fair that the case goes ahead so IEBC can defend itself against these grave allegations. It is not far fetched for supreme court to order a fresh presidentisl election if IEBC are unable to defend themselves. What surprises me is the way raila said casually that he is ready to accept whatever judgment. I got the impression he does not believe he has a strong case

Im tempted to think differently. Most of you want Raila to drop the court case not because of anything else but coz YOU are scared of the outcome.
There is fear that IF the court rules on his favour, it might not be so good for you.

I am encauraing the PM to go to court, not bcoz I am his supporter, but coz of one thing.
LET THE RULE OF LAW BE ENTRENCHED IN THIS COUNTRY
If you are agrieved and you dont agree with me on something, the best is to go to a neutral body for solution.

So I want him to go to court, whatever it decides, i will respect it. And hope he will too

The issue here is what are the possible outcomes of the court case? What would Raila consider a favourable outcome and where would that lead him?

Let us assume that the court agrees that there were irregularities with the tallying and orders a recount.

It is then found that Raila had 200,000 more votes than were reported and Uhuru had 200,000 less which brings the final figures to 49.2*% Uhuru to Railas 45.5*%. Would the courts then order a runoff or would they then nullify the whole process and start afresh? Assuming they order a runoff does Raila believe he can win it? If they order a new election (assuming the country can afford it) does Raila believe he can win it?

I cannot see any favourable outcome for Raila and that is why I think he will drop it. Not because he does not feel cheated but because as things stand he cannot make his situation better by going to court whatever the merits of his case may be.

Now tell me, would you be contented and happy as a voter to know that your president elect was elected fraudulently, even by 10 votes(let alone the 200k u are giving).
That is the more reason why he should go to court. And BTW do you think Dda,Karua,PK and Key ya pee believed they'd win this election?,No but they still went into it.So let Raila go ahead whether he believes he will win or not.
For the law to take its cause

It is not about being contented and happy. There are many things we are not contented and happy about that we learn to live with because the alternative is just too expensive or unreachable.

I would be curious to find out even from the die hard CORD supporters in Wazua; If you came to know for a fact right now that the actual figure by IEBC was off by 200,000 in favor of Uhuru so that you know Uhuru got 5.9 million votes and Raila got 5.5 million votes, would you from this point after the Uhuru has been announced winner and and people are beginning to get used to it, would you want to disrupt that and go back to another electioneering period for another month??

I really would like to know which sentiment would prevail, living with a president you know to have got more votes but did not necessarily win outright or risking it in another election so that we are left with no doubt, knowing that though your candidate will get another chance you are not certain he will win. Would you go for it?

I hope he is not trying to drugg the whole country down with him

Since this is also about iebc credibility incase of a re-count, re-tallying or even a runoff. Who is going to conduct it or will he also demand the disbanding of the iebc?smile
Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

This petition will be clear when and if it is filled. Coz IEBC credibility in question suggest new commissioners, Recount my lead to new new election with kina kamuite, what about results for governors et al skeletons could be there too coz hassan was also involved. will the court do the talying/recount?

On a light note; consolation u will queuing 5hrs in the rain this time not the sun. Did u guys hear jakom say he was given blackout by local media while SK was standing next to him or it was just my irrational exuberance from the good news?
