I did not know that his lose would elicit shock reactions from round the world.

Deductions.

1. He campaigned under the slogan "Obama here, Obama there",
On Kenyan soil?

2. He dreamed of bringing chains like McDonald's to the area and launching a bid for the presidency.
Instead of encouraging local enterprises and suggesting ways of improving the local fishing Industry -the key economic driver.

3. He told AFP on the campaign trail that he would use his contacts with Washington to bring development to the rural backwater he hoped to govern.
"Why would my people settle for a local connection when they have a direct line to the White House.
did he mistake his people for fools?

4. His refusal to give handouts.

Is that it??

Tell me why they didn't vote for him yet he had direct access to the house of 'milk and honey'.

The idea of Kenya as a Satellite State of the US is not palatable.

That's weird economics and unhealthy too for Kenyans. Did he expect the people to feed on humburgers and french fries alone and does he believe fast food is better than say, omena and ugali?.

Well! well! does he really believe that the American taxpayer should develop his rural backwater?

When Barack Obama last visited, Malik looked at the crowds that gathered to see his younger brother and thought all those were his votes.

Even Oburu and his sister were rejected in Raila's home area during the nominations. It doesn't work that way.

I think he may have campaigned in English. Kenyans don't like too much English. (Wakenya hawapendi kizungu miingi) Ask one PLO Lumumba. Even Barack Obama himself would not win a county representative seat in Siaya...

Yes, deputy Governors after hanging on to some other persons' coattails and getting in with them after they were voted for by the people who rejected them.

He ran on a campaign of “change,’’ echoing his younger brother’s slogans of hope and change in the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

I wish he had kept it original like PK's TUNAWESMAKE.
