US President Barack Obama on Saturday said Kenya was a dangerous destination for international reporters.

In a speech in Washington to US journalists and political leaders, Mr Obama said in regard to foreign correspondents.

"They've risked everything to bring us stories from places like Syria and Kenya, stories that need to be told," he said.

Mr Obama did not explain why he coupled Kenya with Syria, a country devastated by a civil war that has killed some 70,000 people.

That one was expected from that quarter.....what would you expect of a country who's people have just elected two 'crimes against humanity' suspects as their leaders? Must be a rotten place with equally rotten people. That's the impression they want to create- that Kenya is no better than Syria with the suspects as President and Deputy President.

He is jokingly bitter because Malik Obama, the 54-year-old half-brother, failed miserably in his effort to get elected as a governor in Siaya.

He received just 1 per cent of the votes cast. He garnered just 694 votes.

I also think he wanted the great-great-great grand son of the 13th Wanga to win.

Why is losing so painful. My candidate lost, but am FINE!

I think he is right. Kenyans don't take kindly to people who's only interest is to make money by reporting bloodshed. We are better off without these so called journalists. They should just broadcast links from our own journalists like Aljazeera did yesterday.
We make or break our own tomorrows today!

Yeah! they risked going to the riftvalley, kenya where they met 'Kikuyu tribal militia' as they prepared for the worse incase of election violence and brought to the Americans the REAL action as caught on camera.

They are not welcome anyway. Neither do we intend to visit their cursed land.

It is possible Obama still has beef with anything Kenyatta. Jomo Kenyatta allegendly had a cold relationship with Obama senior. Obama senior would later indulge in excessive drinking apparently so as to 'forget' his woes. Let's hope Kenyatta Junior and Obama Junior will try to mend fences
