It cd have been possible. 12yrs ago, both were in KANU, with uhuru trying his hands on presidency and Ruto an ardent supporter.
But again ruto is very creative, this may have been one of his creations to suit the situation.

And you think they were enemies?, you are cheated. Politicians are never enemies, you the commons keep on butchering yourselves for their sake, while they only care about their INTERESTS, which keep on shifting regularly.
Tell me, if they were enemies in 07, when did they reconcile and become best of friends?
