It's amazing the way this 34 yr old Andry has been able to win the hearts of the people and army of his country. Does he set the way for the continents leadership change where democracy does not exist? Isnt he Africa's Obama?

Stop this fundaism. How dare u compare that lil tick to obama? Malagasy was up until recently a respected functional democracy. All that has been wiped out by ths greedy fool n an indisciplined army. Btw,would u suggest a coup d'tat in Kenya simply coz MK isnt popular? Think again!

where are the parallels?..............You can't compare death with sleep but SimonKabz.........would i?......This government deserves a kick from whichever quota, including the army..........None of the current leaders is worth what we loosely refer to as democracy.........Where is the legitimacy?....

@njung'e,such a move will b the beginning of instability in Kenya. I can assure u what we hav is much better than an illegitimate militarised one...for numerous reasons.

And who says the kenya armed forces would b so united behind one 'scapegoat'? We held our breath last year as 'The people' incited the military to intervene, luckily,we have a modern progressive level headed Gen Kianga. Military must remain appolitical at all times even in the UK,US,China etc. I rest my case.

the fundaah mentals in africa are very different from America .. etc.Look at Zimbabwe,is n't it better to die running than live on your knees? 0the 'crap' you are seing in africa is because the leaders have pushed people to a tight corner .people are just kicking to free themselves.

No No No! That was a coup, pure and simple! If it was carried out by a let's say,by a 57 year old man,Obama wouldn't be mentioned.
He may be young, cute, sexy,a DJ,a millionaire, but that doesn't make him an Obama. I don't think coups are the answer to unpopular regimes...

@ Masukuma,Nobody has to tell you democracy is a good system of governance, just look around you.

From DJ to mayor of Antananorivo to President of the country,@ 34 years. Something is seriously wrong with this country.

The guy is Moto Moto,he is so hot you have to say his name twice...Isn't it sad however that only 10 years ago Ravalomanana was the new kid on the block, now just another African despot.
