I would cut a deal with UK early morning (accommodating some of my people) then concede defeat. Most wise thing to do IMHO.
And If I were UK, and the request was genuine, I would grant it, and ride the wave along with all my fellow citizens towards national prosperity.

I would concede defeat and go home. Period. Any tantrums at the courts and voters might just humiliate him in a run-off even if the courts grant him one. Let him bow out gracefully. He put up a feisty fight but the numbers have sang a different song. So long... PM.

He represents Luo Nyanza .If we were to avoid tribalism and go for merit as you put it then the most competent would not be him but in political friendly terms it is called regional balancing.Back to the topic,what would Raila's perfect retirement gift be?I think a carpet,a mobile toilet,a book titled Vitendawili na misemo and a horse.

i would give him nothing.He is not genuine and he has never been.There are many other people who deserve accommodating but not Rao,his cronies or advisors.
