no run off. The final lap is between UK and 50%+1 Agreed. As someone has already put it, UK's biggest rival at the moment is 50%+1.

Also total VALID is less than 23K if you add all the presidential votes!!!This has come up!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

16: 37 "We are determined that the process will end today," he says. There is need to balance between expeditious release of results and due diligence. 16:35 Oswago says IEBC will complete tallying of final results today.

I get the reason for the National anthem. Start with the 'coolant' of patriotism.

......IT'S A RUNOFF!!!! In my opinion run off is not good for anyone! The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

The important magical figure is 5,884,544
Hit that and you are our next president without a run-off. It won't matter what the other guys get or how many are rejected!
HOW DO I GET THAT?
FACT: there are 14,352,545 voters
ASSUMPTION: the average 82% turnout will be maintained through out.
Therefore: 82% of 14,352,545 is 11,769,086.9 - this will be the total votes cast, including rejected votes.
50% of 11,769,086.9 is 5,884,543.45.
Constitution says winner must get "more than half of all the votes cast in the election" (I don't know where people got "50% plus one" from!!!)
Since fractional votes are not possible, we ROUND UP the 5,884,543.45 to get 5,884,544
Watch the tally and keep that magic number in mind. They both mean the same. 50% plus 1 vote is much more precise n clear. It is the minimum by which one can win. Suppose there are 9 votes cast
50% = 4.5 50% + 1 = 5.5 Rounding this to the nearest whole number gives 6
But; "more than half" simply means more than 4.5, which is 5.
Now do you see the difference?[/quote] Mukiva you are too good! So not all Wazuans know @Mukiha's side job Don't argue with the man on numbers/figures. Btw, what is the difference between numbers and figures? Numbers make up figures
