Today the opinion poll question of ntv was the same as ktn's.
'Shoulld rao be the leader of govt business?'poll results were substantially different.do the stations alter the results to reflect their own opinions?

I mean fundamental analysis, you get me?

Fundamental analysis of a business involves analyzing its financial statements and health, its management and competitive advantages, and its competitors

Nation Yes 49% No 51%

KTN Yes 72% No 28%

Why do they ask the opinion polls if they can't give the real results?

Once more, let me explain this to you two coz obviously you just dont get it. Both NTV and KTN have different audiences who have different views on Raila. The former has an audience that is anti Raila while the later's audience is pro Raila.

So it follows that if a poll is done to gauge opinion on Raila, both audiences will not see the same issue the same way. KTN viewers will vote for Raila while NTV will be against him. There is no need for either stations to doctor the figures, what the results do is just confirm the obvious, which is that NTV is pro PNU and KTN is pro ODM. Now was that so difficult to grasp?

While at it let's also explore the posibility that one station could be non partsan, hence objective, while the other has chosen to lean towards a certain party or against a certain party or group of people.
Give it a fresh look,au sio.

@Tusker Baridi,I fully agree with you. To even out the argument, just take an average of the responses from NTV and KTN then you make your sound judgement !!

Though I doubt Kenyan media,KTN is Fox News redux. It cannot be used as example for anything, let alone polls........ So next time I suggest you watch Citizen. Their anchors are the best and aren't afraid to voice their opinions. eg Louis Otieno, and Swaleh

Personally I don't follow or believe those polls.
They should first tell us how many people are voting
coz I don't even know one person who responds.

And come on!!! the kind of questions they ask?!? What value do they add?

What are we arguing about?......We all know this 'polls' are not scientific at all.......infact we should safely call them opinions because they are just that. All you need is airtime........!!

He who pays the piper calls the tune.....the media is for sale to the highest bidder and nothing would convince otherwise.Objectivity is often sacrificed at the altar of self preservation and profiteering. Whatever became of long held societal values....They manipulate anything and everything that can be manipulated including these polls. No offence to those in the media...

I will never feed my eyes to horrible figures emaciating behind my screen (Always TV) asking silly opinion questions like 'do u believe Lilian Muli of our authoritative channel aborted in the night of March the 4th??'What sort of s*** is this.!!!

Guys tune in to Citizen Prime and you will never regret God's creation in the name of Belinda Obura........so yummy, sassy and sexy. And very much mature.

to get a fair result then we should ask ourself which is the most viewed station and especially 9pm news, the answer is definitely KTN,by averaging the responses you can get the answer

@mtaalam - They are pointed questions. I ask you a question where your response is predictable unless you are a complete dunderhead. Like 'do you think as a parent I must make sure my 9-year old daughter does her homework?'.

Of course in many instances the political leaning of the station's audience will determine opinion poll results.

For all their 'pressure is now mounting' theatrics,I personally don't think any station manually doctors their results. That would be naive cause word would spread in no time. The worst they can do is to blame a technical hitch for not showing results that are not what they would have preferred.
