The media hses have reporters yes but they are not allowed by law (IEBC?) to relay them. Results must come from IEBC to avoid a mess like 2007.

I am not saying they call the whole presidential race. Just post the presidential results for the specific polling station, ward or constituency that has already been called by the presiding officer on up since they are the ones who have the authority to call the races at that level. If you can call the MP for an area, it would suffice then that you have the presidential results for the same area too.

For example, it looks like most the seats for Nyeri county for MPs, Senator, Governor etc have been called. So why not in parallel take the presidential figures announced then?

We seriously need parallel voter tabulation by multiple sources to verify the official IEBC numbers that are eventually announced. This is what happens in other countries.
