This is very very funny! Can you imagine rejected votes being considered as votes? What is a vote? A vote is a signal indicating acceptance of one of the options on offer! So rejected votes are not votes!
Do we really need the courts to tell Isaac Hassan what this means?

Clarification:"To win in round 1,a presidential candidate must garner 50% plus one"---> 50%+1 means from 51% and above.

Is this true? thought it was 50% plus 1 vote :(

This phrase was coined in consideration of a worst case scenario of a 50 50 tie. In such, an aspirant just needed 1 more vote to be declared winner.

Example
50% of a figure say 4,550,000 is 2275000
51% of the same figure is 2320500

So if the constitution says 50% + 1 Vote that would be 2275001

No Seq Lu! 50% + 1 vote is the correct interpretation as in a majority.

On another note, for every rejected presidential vote there is a voter with an intention. Hence this issue now becomes contentious due to the unforseen large number of stray votes not considered.
