IEBC to hold press conference in the next 30 minutes. Will address technical issues. See tweet from Safcom corporate affairs director, Nzioka Waita

In joint meeting with Political Party Reps & IEBC to review technical update. IEBC CEO to address press shortly. #KenyaDecides2013

Apparently technical difficulty was a disk space issue. (As an engineer myself that is such a rookie move.) Was initially misdiagnosed as a network congestion issue but resolved at 2:30am. Actually disk space issue on a few of their servers explains why some results still trickled in and not stopped completely. Having come across similar issues, it is probably because of the backup software they have on their servers not being configured correctly.

Good thing that IEBC has allowed all chief party agents and their IT experts to go in to the server rooms and assist in the efforts

IEBC has also confirmed that they are keeping the agents of the presidential candidates upto date with all information and decisions...I like.

There will be no concrete results for Governor until probably Tuesday evening. The order of counting is Pres, MP, County rep, Senator, Women Rep then Gov last.

Right now in regional races, the latest I have been able to gather from twitter is Kabando ahead in Murkweini MP, Kagwe & Maina head-to-head for Nyeri senator, Mary Wambui over 50% in Othaya, Eng Nduati for Gatanga MP
