50% of the minutes counted.

Tevez casts the leading vote with 50% votes cast.

......and that is the final result after 100% of the minutes were counted.

this electronic result thing funny. within two hours of closing we had more than 5% reported. 6hrs later it is chururuchururu! one would have expected a greater surge.

The problem is that the IEBC national servers that receive the result keyed into the designated phones crashed around 2 1/2 hours ago. Looks like it is going to be quiet for quite a while now. I would not expect anything much until early in the morning kenyan time. However, when it is back up, results will flood in like crazy because apparently most clerks have finished counting the presidential ballots and are already in the MP ones. It is just the transmission that has slowed.

Poeple still voting in Eldoret. Servers are down. Nyeri tellyng centre; Returning officer's network imepotea. Unable to communicate results.

Good night people. Kesho pia ni siku.

Were t servers stress tested to establish their capability? Such a important hardware shold have taken thro such an exercise.

If we can have the approximate voter turnout by county from the results already released...we would be able to project the winner of the presidential race.

However Jubilee seems to have an average of about 90% of votes cast in Gema and Kalenjin communities.

Also they have done better than expected in NEP...Uhuru is expected to win there though total registered voters were circa 300k.

From the sample results received from Kisii, Uhuru has about 30% of the vote. Kitui is showing he may get between 10-15% of the vote there.

Nairobi will be 50:50 or Raila may win with slightly above 50%.

Jubilee was expecting better in Maasailand (Narok, Kajiado, Samburu, etc)....but he will manage about 40% of the vote going by the sample results so far released.

So Over and above the votes expected from Gema and Kalenjin communities which made about 43% of the total registered voters, Jubilee will have additional votes from NEP, Kisii, Narok, Samburu, and about 30% of Coast (based on sample results received so far).

If the turnout from Gema and Kalenjin communities is 4% or more than the average of the rest of the country, Jubilee will win more than 50%+1 in the first round. If it is more than 10% turnout difference...the win may be a landslide.

I couldn't agree more..just ask yourself..which guys are praying really hard for a
runoff..what does that tell you..if jubilee gets 80% of the rift valley vote, this election is over in the first round..

You have to take @GURU267 predictions seriously. This person authoritatively predicted the winner 2 months ago.
The usual kitendawili is going to Bondo....round one.

ODM is doing what it knows best. Rehearsing to plunge the country into chaos.
