Joshua Araap Sang has posted at his facebook page results of his polling station as follows:

Raila 54, Uhuru 93

I guess he tried to help Rao there...compared to other polling stations in that region

reputable journalists twitter handles and facebook pages from the rift are quoting 10 for OAR lets wait for confirmation from the media.

@shortgun,
Thanks for this. I can see I am protected. The purpose was to show that civic education was not as effective as expected
.

True, yours was for neither of the aims envisaged by the law.

Your Tyranny of Numbers pics however contravened Lady admin's In-house rules....so I heard Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

yeah... I was diappointed after she deleted some of my threads which had Jubilee pictures in addition to Amores' blogs.... because we were apparently campaigning for Jubilee.

do rejected votes count, when determining 50% mark.

50% + 1 is about the number of votes cast......are the spoilt votes CAST?

I was just about to ask this question. Is it 50%+1 of the cast votes or of valid votes. I see like this is what will determine run off or not.

Constitution of Kenya
.

Votes Cast = Valid Votes+Spoilt/Rejected Votes+Disputed Votes

Leads to absurd interpretition. A vote can only be cast in favor of someone. In a normal situation if an unqualified person votes, that vote would be disregarded.

Similarly, in a runoff if there were more spoilt votes than valid votes, does it mean there would be no winner or that "spoilt votes" will win since these are votes cast?

Some constitutions clearly state 50% + 1 of valid votes cast....ours says 50% + 1 of votes cast. I am no expert in law but I believe a rejected/spoilt vote was cast in the first place. We'll know from Mr Hassan by tomorrow midday.
