KAKAMEGA, Kenya, Mar 4 – A car belonging to
immediate former Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito
was set ablaze early on Monday, hours before
polling began.
The Range Rover estimated to be worth about
Sh15 million was set ablaze as Kizito was
delivering accreditation to his agents.
He claims to have been accosted by a large group of
supporters of one of his opponents at Lukango area of
Shinyalu shortly after midnight who used two vehicles to
block his entourage.
“We were attacked by people who stopped us at a
narrow road and pelted us with stones. They forced us out of the car and stole our belongings then burnt our car, luckily we are alive,” he said while calling on his supporters to maintain peace.
